Five years ago we bought this villa that was ten years derelict. If you have read my books you will know how much I love this house. How it called to us and we responded. You’ll know all the renovation work we have done and all we have gone through to save it and bring life and vibrance back into it. All the laughs and all the tears.
The house has given us so much – it has got me through some of the most tragic times of my life; it gave me distraction, a safe haven, joy, memories and most of all inspiration for my best-selling book series.

There are several answers, but the main one is instinct. Mine tells me this is right, now, and it has never once let me down. I’ll write about it properly in my next post.
Life is short and it’s an adventure. This chapter is coming to a close to make room for the next one.
What are Your Plans After You Sell?
For the first time in my life I have no plans!
Some days I picture a tiny hermitage hidden-away from the world. Other days its a renovated convent, castle or borgo shared with a group of like-minded people and starting our own community.

I think I will stay in Italy. But I am not ruling anywhere out.
